Account and Data Deletion
Last updated: May 3, 2026
Meralte Labs LLC respects your right to control your personal information. This page explains how to delete your account and personal data from any of our applications or services, in compliance with the Apple App Store guidelines, Google Play Developer Program Policy, and applicable data protection laws including the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and LGPD.
1. In-App Account Deletion
Where our apps allow you to create an account, they also provide an option to delete your account and associated data from within the app. Look for "Delete Account" in the app's account or settings screen. In-app deletion initiates the same process described below.
2. Request by Email
If in-app deletion is unavailable, or if you prefer to request deletion in writing, email info@meralte.io with the subject line "Data Deletion Request".
Please include in your request:
- The name of the Meralte Labs app or service the request relates to.
- The email address associated with your account.
- Any account or user identifier you have available.
- A statement that you are the account holder, or, if you are an authorized agent, written authorization from the consumer.
3. Verification
To protect your privacy and prevent fraudulent requests, we will take reasonable steps to verify that you are the account holder before processing the request. We may ask you to confirm the request from the email address on file or to provide additional information sufficient to match the request to a specific account. We will not use information collected for verification for any other purpose.
4. What Will Be Deleted
Upon a verified request, we will delete:
- Your account profile and authentication credentials.
- Personal information you have provided (e.g., name, email address, settings).
- User Content you have submitted, except where retention is required by law or where the content is shared with other users (in which case it may be anonymized and the connection to your identity removed).
- Usage and diagnostic data linked to your account.
5. What May Be Retained
Some data may be retained, in limited form and for limited periods, as permitted or required by law:
- Records required to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer-protection obligations (typically up to 7 years).
- Records necessary to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.
- Records necessary to defend or establish legal claims.
- Aggregated or anonymized data that no longer identifies you, which we may retain indefinitely.
- Backup copies, which are deleted on our standard backup rotation schedule.
6. Third-Party Copies
Where personal information has been shared with our service providers (such as analytics, crash reporting, or hosting providers), we will instruct those providers to delete the data on the same basis, in accordance with our agreements with them. Some providers may retain the data in pseudonymized or aggregated form as permitted by their own retention policies.
7. Timeframe
We will acknowledge your request within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days, except where applicable law allows or requires a longer period (for example, the CCPA permits up to 45 days, extendable by an additional 45 days with notice). We will notify you when the deletion is complete.
8. Effect of Deletion
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After deletion, you will no longer be able to access the account, any purchases tied to that account, or any User Content stored under it. Any active subscriptions will continue to be billed by the platform that processed the subscription (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play) unless cancelled directly with that platform.
9. Right to Lodge a Complaint
If you believe we have not handled your deletion request in accordance with applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. EEA residents may contact the supervisory authority in their member state; UK residents may contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO); Brazilian residents may contact the National Data Protection Authority (ANPD); California residents may contact the California Privacy Protection Agency or the California Attorney General.
